#1: Ebay Vintage Parts Seller Confirms Time Travel Possible - All Aboard!

Posted on 2006-03-27 22:36:13 by robertstrain

It would appear that ebay seller guitarded! has struck the holy grail
for guitar enthusiasts everywhere - he has a time machine that allows
him to travel back to the 50s and recover much sought after replacement
parts for vintage guitars.

Over the last 3 months he has recovered no less than 6 x
''original Gibson ES-175 wooden bridges in near mint condition'', all
''removed from '59 ES-175s'':

7391245618
7371897086
7388904111
7373094261
7360851840
7376123794

These are presumably the same '59 ES-175 source he's been using for the
last 9 months...

Anyone who fancies being taken for a ride on this remarkable machine
has the following to look forward to:

* 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior Truss Rod Bell Cover Black (4 lots)
* 1959 Gibson ES-125 Pickguard (5 lots)
* 1959 Gibson ES-225 TD P-90 Pickup Spacer ES-125 (5 lots)
* 1959 Gibson Les Paul Output Jack, ES-335, ES-225 (4 lots)
* 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior JR Kluson Tuners (4 lots)
* 1959 Gibson Les Paul Knobs Amber Bonnet (3 lots)
* 1959 Gibson Les Paul Kluson Deluxe Tuners D-169400 (2 lots)

The machine has developed an annoying fault though - it locks into warp
1959. However, on at least 4 occasions, it did make it all the way back
to 1957:

* 1957 Gibson ES-125 Trapeze Tail Piece, Nickle ES-175 (4 lots)

Must cost a fortune for all the space gas involved, but with lots of
satisfied customers, the outlay is soon recovered.

The guy sounds like a crook, but it's hard for me to work up much
sympathy for his victims.

Indeed, people believe what they want to believe - including time
machines...

Is there honour among thieves?
