#1: japanese electronic, alternative bands?
Posted on 2005-05-01 06:32:23 by Disintegration
Hey,
I looking to find more info on what japanese bands are out there. I know
nothing of japanese music but want to find out. What i'm looking for is
electronic/ indust/ gothic/ new wave sounding music. I saw an anime called
Berserk and the music by Susumu Hirasawa was fantastic.
Can anyone lead me to any locations?
thanks

I like Ars Nova. They're technically a progressive rock band, but they
have electronic and industrial elements.

Did you try <a href="http://www.fishthemusic.com/" target="_blank">http://www.fishthemusic.com/</a>
I recommend band called "Maju" and "Absolut Null Punkt". Try Googling them.
Good luck! I hope you find good ones!
Mr.Jason
Ps. I agree with you, Susumu Hirasawa is great. Did you see movie called
"Avalon" by Mamoru Oshii? Music is made by Kenji Kawai. Its great. I wrote
story about it in my website about Japanese culture:
