#1: OT - my kiid sister got a nice mention in a review

Posted on 2005-04-22 01:34:20 by hepkatreetaroonie

My sister is a composer, I like her stuff a lot. She got a commission
from Lori Freedman for a bass clarinet concerto. Lori played it at a
concert in Montreal yesterday, Wednesday. Lori got rave reviews, and
of my little sister they said, "Jacqueline Leggatt's 'A Summer Pudding
For Lady Macbeth' had some achingly pretty harmonies as Freedman
played with and against a recording of herself." So I may be a putz,
but there's hope yet for the family name. The Globe and Mail for any
Canadjuns out there.
