#1: My first video

Posted on 2006-05-12 23:02:12 by qminusi

group:

My first video is online! And I'm such an amateur!

I had just a little time to do a test with a small tiny camera
which my wife has get from her father because he found a better
one.

So just a minute memory or so. And the sound is quite ugly. And
the format is MOV. I can write software but I have no idea how to
work with these videos. So this will take a little time until they
look and sound a little more pro.

I want to have a few videos for students to explain or show the
way I do it for taking them home and watch them or not. The one
here is made with the intention to pick any note and to avoid
hammerings and pulloffs. Its a quick improvisation also to show a
little verse and refrain behaviour.

The camera is positioned like a microphone would be. This is
because the camera is the microphone :-(
Anyhow it is not the best camera angle and the mistake of the
camera man at the end of this little performance gives the entire
thing a humorously finale :-) The camera man is fired BTW.

Long talk short sense, here is my right hand, seriously working on
picking since December 2005, still self taught. In improvisation I
go for this kind of Django-like hard emotional sound and therefore
I used to play close to the bridge.

The file is a MOV file and has almost 20MB.

Wondering about you coments!

P.S. I had to do the decicion to post this vid or answer a few
posts, oh my conscience I did the video.
I'm running out of time ...

sincerely

<sarcasm>

Wow!
91 downloads until 18.00, 91 downloads in 19 hours.
Almost 2 GB.
And no comments?
All speechless?
Or never visit the restaurant again?

Guess the deaf guitar player must be fired as well.

Karl, do you know that joke about the old lady in a restaurant who
complains that the food tastes bad, and the portions are too small?
That's my response to this video--bad recorded sound, and too short. I
loved it and would like to hear more.

Its a quota killer! This crap video is way to big for my website
account when it takes over 2 GB in one day. I only have 5 GB. Its
not worth so I killed the file.

Thank you, for trying to put me up. :-)

Guess it was the real flop. And it might be the wrong equipment I
have. I'd like to have some videos but I think I stay with the
audio clips. Don't have the guts anymore. Can't show my face
anyway.

I did like it in the night I did it, but I dont like it anymore by
daylight. Maybe I was just happy I did find the video function of
the camera. Maybe it was just a pompous over-estimation and
over-expectation.
