Excuse the spam.
I have been frustrated at not finding the sound I wanted, and took
an engineering approach to designing a jazz guitar speaker cabinet
that will work with most any amp head. My jazz friends like the result
so much that I decided to put it on the market.
If any have an interest, I have several on Ebay at present. One has to
start somewhere. You may search for Redstone under "guitars".
Back to your more important discussions.........and I apologize for
the interruption.

Good luck, Dave. $349-$375 seems reasonable for a good cab.

You might want to make an optional open-back version.

Thanks for the suggestion. I was trying to avoid the open back
configuration since I find it to be so dependent on surroundings and
placement. Are there some advantages I don't know about? (aside from
being able to use cheaper, lighter magnet, speakers?). I could
certainly build one cheaper.
thanks, dave

The advantages of open back are that bandmates can hear you when the cabinet
is in front of them. Additionally, it has a more transparent and open sound
for playing blues or pop rhythm things. It's a compromise of course between
projection, efficiency and transparency.

Thanks. I'll take a look at making it an option.
