Hi,
For those interested, the 7th edition of ProgPower Europe will take place
the first weekend of October, including a pre-party on the last Friday of
September. Again we have tried to get a very diverse line-up, with not only
prog bands. A mix of known and unknown bands, with a couple of bands that
make their debut in The Netherlands. The festival will be held in Sjiwa,
Baarlo (L), The Netherlands, with a capacity of 800 people. Baarlo is
located near Venlo, close to the border near Duisburg, Dusseldorf and
Krefeld.
The full line-up looks like:

Pre-sales of package deals (including a weekend ticket plus 2 or 3 nights,
bed & breakfast, in a group accommodation close to the venue) are on sale
now, later on weekend tickets will go on sale and if available day tickets

Ich war letztes Jahr kurzfristig auf dem ProgPower, um mir Alchemist und
Devin Townsend anzugucken. Leute, ich kann das Festival nur empfehlen!
Das Sjiwa ist einer der feinsten Clubs, die ich je gesehen habe. Super
eingerichtet, feinste Akustik, und die Holländer sind einfach nur gut
drauf. Anders kann ich es mir nicht erklären, dass man durch einen
stillen, verschlafenen Ort fährt, und mitten im Ortskern trifft man dann
auf einen Platz, auf dem sich hunderte von Metallern tummeln. Kein
Stress, keine Parkplatznot, Imbiss vor Ort, und alles super organisiert!
Im Keller gibt es dann noch getrennte Räume für Merchandising und eine
wahnsinnig gemütliche Kneipe, wo man aftershow mit den Bands und Fans
abhängen kann.
Also wer schon mal gelegentlich nach Venlo fährt (warum auch immer....
;-)), kann für das ProgPower ruhig mal einen Abstecher wenige Kilometer
weiter südlich nach Baarlo wagen.
