Hi everyone,
Tonight I was checking out the Index of Moody Blues Resources, which
Skyvoice/Avalon maintains, and noticed something very interesting.
Just a couple of days ago, I noticed 23 links in the Bulletin Boards
and Chat Rooms section, but it looks like Skyvoice is doing some
renovating and has pruned away some links he doesn't like. Instead of
23 boards listed, there are now only 17.
What is most conspicuous is the abscense of two links: Moodytalk and
Moody Blues & Friends. They have both been dropped off the listings.
I know that Skyvoice/Avalon/ doesn't like Moodytalk or that person
Wonder who runs MB & Friends, so is that the reason why he has dropped
their sites - out of spite? Here is the link below to see for
yourself. I suggest to those reading this message tonight to check it
out now and be a witness to the fact that these sites in question have
indeed been dropped, because I'm sure the moment this hits the fan,
skyvoice is going to be scrambling to re-add the sites tomorrow morning
because he's been caught with his pants down. And of course, he will
mostly likely lie and say he never did drop the sites of these
webmasters:
http://www.frisk.org/mbindex/pages/Bulletin_Boards_and_Chat_ Rooms/
I think the way Skyvoice/Avalon runs this Index site is extremely petty
and vindictive. Look, I'm not a fan of Moodytalk and I'm no fan of
Wonder and her site, but this is so petty to drop these sites simply
because he doesn't like them or holds a grudge. That's not very fair
to these fans who work hard on their websites to deny them listings
after they had already applied and were approved. I wanna call
Skyvoice on it because I love watching him make a buffoon out of
himself when he tries to wiggle his way out. Last time I checked, both
of these sites have Moody Blues content and thus they should be listed
in these kind of directories unless of course they say they don't want
to be there. Did Skyvoice institute a new rule which states that
they only way you can have a site listed is if he likes you? If
Skyvoice wants to be exclusive and drop sites which have legitimate
Moody Blues content, then the Index of Moody Blues Resources should
quit advertising itself as a website that has links to every Moody
Blues piece of info imaginable.

Didn't Higher and Higher also used to be on there?

Very interesting, Ty. So what gives, Skyvoice? Is it because I caught you
pretending you were someone else on Mike's board? Is this your way of
payback?
Personally, it's no skin off my teeth. Since Skyvoice took over the Index
of Moody Blues Resources, the site has taken a nosedive. I'd rather not
be associated with anything that Wizard is in charge of.
I've got loads of web space. Perhaps I'll create my own Index of Moody
Blues Resources. I'll just steal the links from Wizard, so I'll thank him
in advance.

Skyvoice's site is not an official MB's site by any means. It's his
personal little playground and he's entitled to put on it what he likes.
Now for my upcoming Moody Blues Resources, I'll run it by the band's
management and have it be an approved MB resource site.

Way to go Wonder. It's too bad Skyvoice couldn't have pruned Ty's
troublemaking ass off all of the boards.

Looks like the Index has gone kaput. Didn't take you long to destroy it
now did it, Skyvoice?

I'm sorry to see you do that, Wizard. There were some on there I
didn't know about and was going to take a look at since you had revised
it. Too late.

Well, there were some websites on there I had not heard of and was gong
to check them out, but now the Index is gone, isn't it? At least it
was when I checked in my favorites. Did you move it someplace else?

I didn't mean to seem flippant AST.
This thread was obviously begun by one or more that I have blocked so I
wasn't able to follow it and weren't sure what you were talking about.
The Index is gone I am sad to say. The Index owner had enough. Gave up.
Pissed it all away which is her choice. Pity though.
I plan to start another one very soon. It will start slowly and build up
over time. I do look forward to it very much.

The Index of Moody Blues Resources was a nifty little page, but the
problem was that instead of simply fairly listing sites based on
whether or not they simply have Moody Blues content and how good they
are in presenting info, it would sometimes become very political. By
political, those with connections or had financial affiliation with the
Index owner would get a ridiculous amount of deep links. I think a
truly good Index would feature the best of the best when it comes to
fan websites...websites which the fans work hard to put together
because they love the band as opposed to commercial sites. It did
seem that the main push Donna's Index was the Higher & Higher magazine
and Choicemall; the fan sites were just a side dish. Higher & Higher
is a great magazine, but some of those fan sites that I've seen over
the years were really good and deserved just as many deep links if not
more. For example, Remember Gordon's "Moody Blues UK' site a few
years back? That was a really great site, but it was not getting as
much exposure like it should have deserved on this kind of Index. Too
bad.
in light of Wonder had said earlier in the thread about creating
another directory that will have something to do with band management,
the loss of Skyvoice's playground (where he's the bully in the school
yard) may not be so noticed.

Sory Wizard. I didn't realize there were things you did not recieve,
in which case, my post certainly made no sense.
I hope you will "do over" the Index. It was always a handy tool to
have - especially if one is traveling and does not have favorites
marked on a laptop.

No need to be sorry. All is as it should be. ;-)
I do plan an Index. It will start slowly and take some time to build.

No one will want to visit this site of yours, Skyvoice. You don't
have the right attitude to get along with other webmasters, and you'll
drop their websites whenever they say something you don't like.
You're just a control freak, and I doubt that anyone would submit a
site to you.
In the first place, it's true that the Index really started to take a
nose dive when Skyvoice took over. Frisk made a bad choice when she
asked Skyvoice to manage her Index. He has a bad attitude, easily
makes enemies because he's obnoxious, and he is way too wrapped up in
this online stuff to be able to stand back and look at things
objectively.
I think the real reason why Donna decided to close down her Index was
because I'm sure that a lot of people emailed her and complained about
how Skyvoice unfairly dropped Moodytalk and MB& Friends from the
listings. Since the people who run these websites are popular in the
fan community, I'm sure there was a backlash of sorts. Donna probably
got fed up with all the emails complaining about Skyvoice and decided
to just discontinue the site. So basically, it is because of
Skyvoice's mismanagement that caused Frisk to terminate it. Skyvoice
could never understand that it wasn't HIS site; he was only a
volunteer. But because he is so egotistical, he decided to thrown his
weight around on a site that didn't even belong to him and get back at
those he didn't like.
My opinion is that Frisk shouldn't have cut and run, and I think it
says a lot about her that she did. What she could've done was sent an
apologetic email to both Moodytalk and Wonder and re-added their sites,
and then she could've told Skyvoice to never pull a stunt like that
again. Instead, she decided that she was too high and mighty to
respond to those who emailed her about Skyvoice's mismanagement of the
Index.

You know, Ty, I don't often agree with you, but I think you've got this one
pegged. Rather than being a Moody Blues resources page, Skyvoice made it a
"Skyvoice's favorite links" page.
I've begun my Moody Blues Resources page but so far only the first two
categories are filled in. The others are still under construction. This
site will not be a "my favorite links" page (I'll save that for my
fairehaven site). This site will be for ANYONE and EVERYONE to submit
links to regardless of my personal feelings towards them or theirs towards
me.
It can be accessed by going to http://www.moodybluesresources.com/

Your site looks pretty nice so far. Thanks.

Oh please. After the way you've talked about and treated Wonder now
you're loving her website???? She has more class in her little finger
than you do all over your pasty little body. And talking about someone
not being able to get along with a webmaster? Even a snake would
slither from you.
