Dejan Terzic's "UNDERGROUND"
Liebe Jazzfreunde,
es ist nur noch eine Woche hin, da haben wir bereits das n=E4chste =
Konzert im Musikpalast.
Der N=FCrnberger Schlagzeuger und bayerische =
Kulturf=F6rderpreistr=E4ger 2004 Dejan Terzic ist zur Zeit mit seinem =
neuen Projekt "Underground" auf Tournee. Dieses international sehr =
interessant besetzte Quartett pr=E4sentiert sowohl Standards als auch - =
und das ist das Besondere - Improvisationen =FCber von Terzic =
bearbeitete Titel der Folklore des Balkans, seiner urspr=FCnglichen =
Heimat.
Eine spannende Sache wie ich meine, und daher gerade richtig f=FCr das =
verw=F6hnte Wiesbadener Publikum.

1970 in Banja Luca geboren, kam er schon zweij=E4hrig nach =
Deutschland, wuchs in einem kleinen bayrischen Dorf auf, bis er 1990 =
nach N=FCrnberg zog, wo er auch sein Jazzstudium absolvierte. In =
Wiesbaden kennen wir ihn von seinen Auftritten mit Dusko Goykovich, er =
hat aber auch bereits mit vielen anderen Gr=F6=DFen des Jazz, wie Attila =
Zoller, Lee Konitz, Bob Berg, James Moody, Jerry Bergonzi, Tim Hagans, =
Enrico Rava, Franco Ambrosetti, Vincent Herring, und, und, und =
zusammengearbeitet.

Die Mitglieder seines internationalen Quartett's sind Stars wie Mark =
Helias, Chris Speed und Frank M=F6bius.

Mark Helias kann man ohne Zweifel als einen der besten Jazzbassisten =
der Musikwelt ansehen. Er arbeitete fast zwei Jahrzehnte mit =
Schlagzeugerlegende Ed Blackwell zusammen. Dar=FCber hinaus spielte er =
mit Abbey Lincoln, Cecil Taylor, Dewey Redman, Don Cherry, Paul Motian. =
Besonders seine Mitwirkung bei BassDrumBone mit Ray Anderson und Gerry =
Hemmingway brachte ihm internationalen Ruhm. Unz=E4hlige CD's hat er in =
all diesen Formationen eingespielt.

Mit Chris Speed steht vielleicht einer der wichtigsten =
zeitgen=F6ssischen amerikanischen Saxophonisten auf der Wiesbadener =
B=FChne. Durch seine Arbeit mit Dave Douglas, Tim Berne's Bloodcount, =
Uri Caine und Jim Black, hat er sich den Ruf eines au=DFergew=F6hnlichen =
Saxophonisten/Klarinettisten erspielt.

Frank M=F6bus, ebenfalls N=FCrnberger Kulturf=F6rderpreistr=E4ger, hat =
in letzter Zeit durch sein Trio "Der Rote Bereich" f=FCr sehr viel =
Aufsehen gesorgt. Dar=FCber hinaus arbeitete er mit Kenny Wheeler, Ray =
Anderson, Jim Black, u.v.a. und gilt als einer der interessantesten =
Gitarristen in der europ=E4ischen Jazzwelt.

Das Quartett unternahm eine l=E4ngere Tour im April 2004, spielte nun =
die erste CD ein und wird diese bei den Konzerten vorstellen.
