Jah Wobble reviewed [message #220288] Do, 31 März 2005 14:02

Reactions to the announcement that Jah Wobble is performing at Cropredy
have ranged from joy to puzzlement. But mostly, the reaction has been
along the lines of "Who?" and "What?"

Now all is revealed - there's a review of Jah Wobble's take on English
roots music by Bernie Forkin (who's heard the material). The article is
on Fairport's website at:

I discovered Jah Wobble because I'm a big fan of Jean-Pierre Rasle, who
plays with him as well as with the Cock and Bull Band and other things.
Wobble seems to have had a go at everything, some with more success than
others. I have one of his CDs, and although it's not exactly my favourite
album of all time, it's OK.

The review linked here makes me want to see his latest efforts, though.
When's Cropredy exactly?

Really? I'll have to pay attention then. Having previously heard Jah
Wobble, my reaction was very similar to Jim.

Well I don't think Jean-Pierre would play with anyone who was *all* bad!
