Patrick Moraz to tour soon [message #200832] Sat, 05 February 2005 06:48

Today I was at the local Barnes and Noble bookstore, and I checked out the new
issue of Keyboard magazine. The article on Patrick Moraz is on the last page.

A lot of the article deals with the new re-releases/remasters of the
Moraz/Bruford albums. Then there are snippets of a 1975 interview with
Patrick. At the end of the article, Keyboard magazine mentions that they have
corresponded with Patrick as of late and thus give a current update on his
latest activities.

The update says that Patrick has two new electronic albums close to completion.
It's mentioned that Patrick has been working with someone from a band called
"deep forest"(?), and that he is working on another new CD with drummer, Jacob
Armen. It's also mentioned that Patrick plans to tour soon with Jacob Armen
once the CD is completed. All of this sounds like very good news!

I hope Patrick will have some Texas concert dates lined up in his schedule.
I'm sure it'll be a lot of fun.

Did it ever occur to you that no one else gives a damn?

Did it say anything about him playing with Jordan Rudess? For some
reason....unknown to me.... I get e mails from Jordan. I have no idea who
he is then one day I saw Jordan's name mentioned in connection with Dream
Theatre. Then along came mention of he and Patrick together. That might
lead me to believe Patrick's Rockin' again? Maybe...maybe not.???

The only " deep forest" I have any recollection of is in conjunction with
Cessoria Evora......the Portuguese speaking grandma in Gaia. ??? Not sure it
has anything to do with your deep forest. Sound's like a Tuesday afternoon
to me :)

Hard to say where he'll pop up and with whom :) LOL

Have a good day Ty.... sure do wish there was a Barnes and Noble near
here....I sure found some goodies last time I was there.

Deep Forest is a duo that does world fusion music, for lack of a better
term. They have collaborated with Peter Gabriel and many others. To
find out more look here...

Moraz has swum in similar waters in the past...he has several albums
that delved into this kind of music. Sounds like an interesting combo,
I'd like to hear what they come up with!
